Information we may Collect

Information we collect automatically
In addition to the personal information you provide us, our web servers automatically collect certain internet and electronic network activity information. This includes the domain names of all visitors to the Verifone website, and we also use third-party web analytics services that may collect information like your IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifier, geographical area, referring URLs, and other technical information through the use of cookies and similar tracking technology. In some countries or locations (e.g., California), some of this information may be considered personal information under applicable data protection laws.

We use the information we receive from these third-parties to provide the requested product, service or solution.
How We Use Your Information

- Conduct auditing and due diligence (including credit reference checks, identity verification and other financial due diligence);
- Perform accounting, auditing, billing reconciliation and collection and other internal business functions;
- Undertake internal research for technological development (including performing data analysis and processing, market and consumer research, customer satisfaction research, trend analysis, financial analysis);
- Undertake activities to verify and maintain the quality and safety of our products, services and solutions;
- Detect security incidents and protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity (including protecting against fraud and other unlawful activity, claims and other liabilities; establishing, exercising and defending legal rights; to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations under applicable law; and maintaining the physical security of our premises and electronic security);
- Operate and manage our websites and perform debugging to identify and repair errors;
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations, not limited to complaints handling; and
- Other short-term transient use.
We may also use your information in an anonymized, de-identified or aggregated manner that does not enable identification of any individual customer to evaluate and improve our offerings.
Legal Basis for Processing Personal Information

Our legal basis for collecting and using personal information will depend on the personal information concerned, the circumstance, the specific purpose for which we collected or requested it, and the applicable jurisdiction (e.g., place of collection).

- we need the personal information to provide payment terms, to provide a product, service, or solution or to perform a contract or agreement with you or to take steps at your request before entering into such a contract;

Information We Share

- To the Verifone group of companies, third-party services providers and partners who provide data processing services to us or who otherwise process personal information for purposes that are described in this Privacy Notice or as communicated to you when we collect your personal information. Service providers and partners include repair or installation, banks, helpdesk, anti-fraud services, credit agencies, risk management service providers, resellers or distributors, debt-collection agencies, couriers, contract manufacturers, and product suppliers. - To any competent law enforcement body, regulatory, government agency, court or other third party where we believe disclosure is necessary (i) as a matter of applicable law or regulation, (ii) to exercise, establish or defend our legal rights, or (iii) to protect your vital interests or those of any other person;
- In connection with any proposed purchase, merger, reorganization, acquisition, dissolution or liquidation of any part of our business, provided that we inform the third party that it must use your personal information only for the purposes disclosed in this Privacy Notice; and

Data Retention

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize it or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
Your Rights and Choices
Your rights and choices with respect to your personal information will depend on the applicable law of your jurisdiction. Depending on the jurisdiction, you may have the right to request access to personal information that we hold about you by filling out the Personal Information Rights Request Form.
We will provide access to your information in the form you want it where it’s reasonable and practical and does not adversely impact the privacy rights of others. If meeting your request requires a significant amount of resources, we may charge a small fee to cover our costs when giving you access, but we’ll always check with you first.
Please contact us if your contact details change or if you think we hold incorrect information about you. Where we agree that the information needs to be corrected, we will update it. If we do not agree, you can request that we make a record of your correction request with the relevant information.
It is important to note that these and other rights are jurisdiction-specific and may depend on other factors.
How to exercise these rights
You can request access to or deletion of your personal information or the personal information of your household by submitting a request to us by email at: privacy@verifone.com or calling us at: 1.800. Verifone (837.4366). To protect the security of your personal information, we will require you to provide us with identifying information for you or your household such as email address, telephone number, a description of the product or service you purchased or inquired about, and/or other information that we can match with the personal information we have collected about you or your household to verify your identities.
You may use an authorized agent to request access to or deletion of your personal information or the personal information of your household. We will require your authorized agent to provide us with either (1) a power of attorney authorizing the authorized agent to act on your behalf or (2) your written authorization permitting the authorized agent to request access to your personal information on behalf of you or your household. Further, we will require you or your authorized agent to provide us with identifying information to verify your identity and/or the identities or your household members.
Nevada residents
You have the right to direct us not to sell certain personally identifiable information that we collect about you on our websites or other online services by emailing us at privacy@verifone.com. This information includes: your first name or first initial and last name in combination with your social security number; driver’s license number, driver authorization card number or identification card number; account number, credit card number or debit card number, in combination with any required security code, access code or password that would permit access to your financial account; user name, unique identifier or electronic mail address in combination with a password, access code or security question and answer that would permit access to an online account.
Additionally, you may review and request that we change the personally identifiable information that we collect about you on our websites or other online services by emailing us at privacy@verifone.com.
Our service providers and other third parties may collect personally identifiable information about your online activities over time and across different internet websites or online services when you use our websites or online services.
Unsubscribe from Our Mailing Lists
You also have the right to opt-out of marketing communications we send you at any time. You can do so by clicking on the “unsubscribe” or “opt-out” link in the marketing e-mails we send you.

Our wesites may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices employed by other sites.
International Transfers
Your personal information may be transferred to, and processed in, countries other than the country in which you are resident. These countries may have data protection laws that are different to the laws of your country (and, in some cases, may not be as protective).
For example, our website servers are located in the United States and our third-party service providers and affiliates operate around the world. This means that when we collect your personal information we may process it in any of these locations.
