What is Chip on Glass (COG)?

COG  is a display that has a built-in display driver. The driver chip is mounted directly on the display glass, hence the name “Chip On-Glass”. Chip on glass is a cutting-edge technology for the efficient and cost-effective manufacture of high-end displays.

How does COG work?

This installation can significantly decrease the size of the whole LCD module, and it is easy to mass produce, suitable for consumer electronics for LCD, including: mobile phones, PDAs and other portable electronic devices. 

This installation, led by IC (Integrated Circuit) makers, will be the primary interface between IC and LCDs in the future.
