With an excess of 2,300 employees across 57 sites, and a turnover of £110 million per annum, Revolution Bars Group chose Verifone’s contactless terminals to increase the speed of card transactions without disrupting day-to-day business.

Revolution Bars Group chose Verifone’s VX 680 and VX 820 terminals to rapidly roll out contactless technology across its 57 UK sites. With the support of the Verifone team, Revolution Bars Group employees were able to quickly use the contactless terminals with minimal internal training required, and adapt to different levels of service whether at a bar or a restaurant location. Revolution Bars Group also integrated Verifone’s payment-as-a-service (PaaS) software with its own electronic POS system, helping improve performance and manage security by providing accurate real-time reports on card transactions. In addition to Verifone’s terminals and managed service, Revolution Bars Group selected Verifone’s Platinum Technical Courier Service. Deployed in conjunction with the terminal roll out, the Platinum Service allows Revolution Bars Group to swap out faulty terminals within 24 hours of breakage. Available seven days a week, the service gives Revolution Bars Group nearly 100% uptime.

Rolled out in Revolution Bars Group sites across the UK, Verifone’s VX 680 and VX 820 contactless payment terminals have reduced the average transaction speed by 20 seconds, halving the transaction time and significantly increasing the volume of contactless card payments.

The integrated PaaS platform has enabled Revolution Bars Group to report on card transactions and help customers with transaction and operating queries. Combined with the Platinum Technical Courier Service, Verifone has ensured that customers now receive unrivalled customer experience and that Revolution Bars Group staff can accept payments quickly and easily on a highly sophisticated and robust terminal infrastructure.
